GUJRANWALA, Oct 8: Three engineers of a private telecommunication company died and three others injured when their vehicle plunged into Upper Chenab Canal near Nandipur, some 10km away from here.

Riaz, Hashim, Babar, Mudassar, Imran and Imranullah were on their way from Narowal to Lahore. When they reached near Nandipur, the van driver lost control over steering and they all landed in the canal. Rescue workers saved Mudassar, Imran and Imranullah but found Riaz, Hashim and Babar’s bodies.
