KARACHI : 16 Indian fishermen sent to jail

KARACHI, Oct 8: The judicial magistrate-IV, West, on Monday sent 16 Indian fishermen, who were arrested by the Maritime Security Agency on Friday for fishing in Pakistani waters, to the Landhi jail.

The MSA had handed over the fishermen to the Docks police, who produced them before the magistrate.

A police official said they could not obtain the fishermen’s remand on Saturday due to lawyers’ strike.—APP
