KARACHI, Oct 7: A blistering knock by Khalid Latif propelled Medicam into the semi-finals of the 22nd Karachi Gymkhana Tapal Trophy Ramazan Cricket Festival at the KG Ground here on Sunday.

Khalid, the former Pakistan Under-19 World Cup-winning skipper, smashed five sixes and seven fours in making 64 off 19 balls as Medicam overwhelmed Qasmi CC in the last Super-six fixture by scoring 100 for two in just 5.5 overs.

Khurram Manzoor hit 22 off 13 balls with four boundaries in the opening stand of 80 with the belligerent Khalid, who was declared Man-of-the-Match.

Earlier, Qasmi CC were bowled out for 99 in the final over. Slow left-armer Azam Hussain bagged three for 23. Opening bowlers Uzair-ul-Haq and Malik Aftab took wickets each as did spinner Rashid Hanif.
