ISLAMABAD, Oct 3: Fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has been asked to appear before a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) disciplinary committee on Saturday, it was officially stated on Wednesday.

The PCB has constituted the disciplinary committee under the central contract. The committee comprises Shafqat Naghmi, Zakir Khan and Nadeem Akram. It has issued a notice to Shoaib, asking him to appear for a hearing on Oct 6 at 11.30am at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

The hearing is being conducted to examine the complaints regarding the violation of the central contract by Shoaib. —APP
