Daniyal guides KESC to victory

KARACHI, Oct 3: Daniyal Ahsan made a fine half-century to guide the KESC to an eight-wicket win against Medicam CC in the 22nd Karachi Gymkhana Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament at the KG ground on Wednesday.

Opener Daniyal struck five fours and one six in his 41-ball knock of 54 while his team-mate Asad Shafiq made 42 off 31 balls as the KESC reached the target of 135 in 16 overs while losing just two wickets.

Earlier, Medicam CC, batting first, were restricted to 134-9 in the allotted 20 overs. Khurram Manzoor made 35 off 31 deliveries with five hits to the ropes.

Thursday’s fixture: AO CC v M Tex CC.
