SWABI, Oct 2: About 129 shopkeepers have been booked for overcharging after a crackdown was launched against hoarders and profiteers.

Under the Ramazan package, flour was being provided at cheaper rates to people with the cooperation of elected representatives in the province, said a spokesman for the district government here on Tuesday.

The flour was being sold under the supervision of revenue officials and local police in the district, he said. The spokesman said that the rates of edibles had been fixed in the light of recommendations of the district price review committee.
