LAHORE, March 18: The Human Rights Society of Pakistan has strongly condemned a grenade attack on a church in Islamabad which killed five people and caused injuries to others during the Sunday service. It said the attack indicated a security lapse.
The HRSP working committee, which met here on Monday with its chairman SM Zafar in the chair, said in a resolution that the manner in which the grenades were hurled at worshippers indicated the failure of law enforcement. The meeting was of the view that certain elements in the country were trying to pollute the atmosphere.
The HRSP said those involved in the incident had done no service to Pakistan or Islam.
