NAWABSHAH: By-election for Naib Nazim seat held

NAWABSHAH, March 18: Ali Asghar Chandio of the Awam Dost Panel won on Saturday the by-election for the seat of Naib Nazim of Suhelo union council by taking 2,130 votes.

His rival Rahim Hussain Mari of the Awami Ittehad got 875 votes.

The seat of Naib Nazim got vacated after the death of Naib Nazim, Faiz Mohammad Shahani (ADP).

There were 7,741 registered voters in the UC while turnout was 3,005.
