KARACHI, Sept 20: Four ships carrying containers, rapeseeds, chemicals and LPG were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with containers, chemicals, crude oil and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Cent per cent berth occupancy was observed at the wharves where 11 ships, Tsubaki, Tsubaki, Nedylloyed America, Norfolk Express, Arballs, Eleoussa, Bow Viking, Powerful, Warbah, Yanaseni, Sigas Sila and Carola, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, coal, rapeseeds, chemicals, LPG, edible oil, diesel oil and coke.

A cargo volume of 0.102m tons comprising 0.069m tons of import and 0.033m tons of export tonnage was handled inclusive of containerized cargo sailed in 2,766 Containers (Boxes) was handled. Sailings were active as Nedlloyd America, Yug Tong Hai, Yanaseni and Warbah left the port.
