Two brothers shot dead

SWABI, Sept 16: Two brothers were shot dead by an alleged bandit here on Sunday after a petty dispute.

Said Qamar, father of Omair, 13, and Manzoor, 21, lodged an FIR with Swabi Police Satation against Mir Zada for killing his two sons over a petty dispute.

Qamar said that his sons were coming home on a motorcycle when Mir Zada appeared and warned the victims that they should not use pressure horns while passing through the area.

This led to an argument between the victims and Mir Zada, who allegedly opened fire, killing the two brothers on the spot.

“The passing of the motorcycle through the area always troubled Mir Zada who thought that police had arrived to arrest him,” a resident told Dawn by telephone from the area.

Always armed with a Kalashnikov and hand-grenades, Mir Zada roam freely with police doing nothing to arrest him.

The two brothers were laid to rest in their ancestral graveyard in Swabi.
