KARACHI, Sept 16: The Site police has arrested two accused who had allegedly murdered an industrialist earlier this month when he put up resistance in a robbery attempt.

A senior police official said a police party was on routine patrolling in Site when it located the two culprits and started pursuing them when they tried to escape upon run finding police in the area.

“The culprits also fired at police when they felt trapped,” said SP Site Sohail Zafar Chatta. “They have been identified as Bukht Wahab and Shahid, who were wanted in more than a dozen cases of murder, including the killing of industrialist Abdul Aziz Khatri.”

He said the police were also looking for two other accused individuals involved in the industrialist’s killing while initial investigations suggested that the arrested culprits were also wanted in several other robbery and extortion cases.
