KARACHI: PTI activists granted bail

KARACHI, Sept 13: Judicial Magistrate Malir, court V, Zakaullah Abro on Thursday granted bail to provincial chief of the Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Zubair Khan and 16 other party activists in a case of violation of Section 144, when they attempted to greet PTI chief Imran Khan at Karachi airport on Wednesday.Zubair Khan led a group of party workers to welcome Imran Khan, who landed at the airport to visit the city but was sent back to Islamabad due to a ban on his entry imposed by the Sindh government.

The case was registered against them at the Airport police station and they were arrested for violating Section 144 declared a couple of days ago to maintain law and order in the city.—APP
