KARACHI: KESC’s Ramazan package

KARACHI, Sept 12: The Karachi Electric Supply Corporation on Wednesday offered a ‘Ramazan package’ for temporary power connections for religious and commercial purposes to discourage power theft and overload.

The power utility has offered a smooth power supply for Taraveeh at Rs2,500 for the whole month. Commercial centres, markets and shops using up to five kilowatts have been offered a temporary connection for Rs5,000; above 5 kilowatts up to 10kW for Rs10,000; and above 10kw up to 20kW for Rs15,000. For night cricket, the rate would be Rs2,000 per night, according to a KESC statement.
