Published September 13, 2007

MANSEHRA, Sept 12: A blast damaged a house near the frontier constabulary headquarters in Oghi on late Tuesday night. However, there was no casualty, officials said.

Police said that the bomb had been planted in the house of one Nasreen Bibi which was just next to the wall of the FC headquarters.

Some locals told Dawn that the frontier constabulary headquarters had been the apparent target of the blast.

However, House Station Officer Oghi Riaz Khan Jadoon did not confirm whether the FC headquarters had been the apparent target.

Some sources said that the blast was the result of an enmity between two families. Pieces of the bomb have been sent for tests to a laboratory in Peshawar.

The Oghi Police has lodged a case under the Explosives Act.
