LAHORE, Sept 11: District Coordination Officer Mian Ijaz on Tuesday directed Akbari Mandi traders and retailers to at least sell four essential items at fixed prices.
At a meeting with the traders and retailers, the DCO directed them to charge Rs35 for a kilogramme of Dal Channa in whole sale and Rs37 in retail, gram grade I Rs37.50 (whole sale) and Rs40 (retail) per kilo, Baisan Rs39 (whole sale) and Rs42 (retail), good quality sugar Rs30 per kilo and red chillies powder form Rs80 to Rs90 per kilogramme.
The traders assured the DCO to follow the directions and pledged to refrain from selling adulterated items and indulging in overcharging.
