Misbah excels in women’s cycling

LAHORE, Sept 8: In the 5th national women’s cycling championship, being held here on Saturday, Misbah Mushtaq excelled for Wapda clinching two gold medals.

Misbah first claimed a gold medal in the 20km individual road event, clocking 27minutes 32.45 seconds. Raheela Bano, also of Wapda, seized the silver medal while Rashada of Punjab claimed the bronze.

Misbah’s second gold medal came in the 3km individual pursuit where she covered the distance in four minutes 37.61 seconds. In the same race, Raheela again settled for a silver medal while Rashada claimed the third spot. Sunday’s 30km road scratch race will be held at New Airport.—Sports Correspondent
