KARACHI, Sept 8: Sindh Minister for Labour and Industries Mohammed Adil Siddiqi has described the first-ever Kidney Centre for workers in Bin Qasim Town as “a unique project” offering the facilities of dialysis and kidney treatment.

He was speaking as chief guest while inaugurating the 50-bed hospital on Saturday.

The ceremony was also addressed by Labour Secretary Rasool Bux Phulphoto, Cooperation Secretary Nasar Hayat and industrialist Abdul Haseeb Khan.

The minister thanked the prime minister, pointing out that out of the five kidney centres established in the country, four had already been handed over to the private sector and the one being inaugurated was gifted to the Sindh government.

He said that 20 more dialysis machines would be installed at the hospital where modern facilities of kidney and liver transplant would also be made available.

Mr Haseeb Khan held out the assurance that he and the industrialist community of Landhi and Korangi would extend all possible cooperation in providing health facilities to industrial workers.—APP
