LAHORE, Sept 6: Faisalabad’s two football outfits Yellows and Whites cruised into the final of the 19th National Under-18 football championship, after winning their respective semi-finals under the floodlights at the Model Town Ground on Wednesday night.

In the first semi-final, two-goal Adnan Butt enabled Faisalabad Yellows to clinch a creditable

2-0 victory against Model

Town Club, Lahore. Both goals were scored in the second session.

Led by Mohammad Azam, the Yellows dominated the second half, landing an opener in the 60th minute when winger Mohammad Luqman swept the ball across the box area as Adnan promptly tucked it into the cage.

The losing side included six players from different English football clubs.

In the second semi-final, Faisalabad Whites brushed aside the Afghan Club 3-1 to meet their sister team in the final.

The winners seized a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute when Usman Manzoor converted a penalty. But the 37th minute saw Afghan Club earn the equaliser (1-1) through Sana Ullah’s field goal.
