KHAR, Sept 4: Two young men and their two sisters were injured when a stray mortar hit their house in Nawagai area early on Tuesday, officials and residents said.
The shell landed on Fazal Mahmood’s house during an attack by unidentified men on the government-owned residential colony that left his children, 18-year-old Ismail, Tahir Bibi, 15, Mehranullah, 12 and Saima Bibi, 10, injured.
They were taken to the agency headquarters hospital in Khar, where doctors said they were in stable condition.
Officials said that seven mortar shells had been fired, one of which damaged the house.
Authorities have started investigation into the mortar attack.
Meanwhile, militants fired three missiles at two security checkpoints in Tarakai and Bagoray areas on Monday night, damaging a boundary wall, sources said.
