New power transformer making facility

KARACHI, Sept 3: Governor Sindh Dr Isharatul Ibad inaugurated the new 220KV power transformer manufacturing facility of Siemens Pakistan at its industrial complex in Karachi.

The facility will help technological advancement of local manufacturing expertise, serve local market requirements for 220KV transformers up to 250MVA and secure existing local market of 132KV transformers by increasing the existing production, says a press release.

Speaking on the occasion the governor said that the investors’ friendly policies of the government provide good business opportunities in Karachi.

Dr Klaus Wucherer, member of the corporate executive board Siemens A.G. praised the continuity and consistency in policies regulating foreign investment.

Earlier, Sohail Wajahat Siddiqui, managing director and CEO Siemens Pakistan, welcomed the guests.
