QUETTA, March 14: Balochi-stan Health Department has issued notices to 78 medical officers for remaining absent from their duties since long, and asked them to report health secretary within 15 days of the issuance of the notices.

The administrative officers of the department belonging to different districts had reported to the secretary that some medical officers, including lady doctors, had been absent without any intimation for the last many months, causing difficulties for the local patients.

“If the absent doctors do not appear within the period given, one-sided legal action will be taken against them,” notice also warned them. It was a general complain in the province against doctors, specially against the lady doctors.
