PML leader, driver die in accident

QUETTA, Sept 1: The general secretary of the Balochistan chapter of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League, Saifuddin Kibzai, and his driver were killed when Land Cruiser jeep they were travelling in overturned near Qila Saifullah, some 160km off here, on Saturday.

Three police guards in the vehicle were injured.

According to police sources, Mr Kibzai was going to Zhob for making arrangements for President Gen Pervez Musharraf’s visit to the town.

The accident occurred near Akhtarabad, some 20km off Qila Saifullah. Mr Kibzai and his driver Faraz Ahmed died on the spot.

Officials of the local administration and police shifted the victims to the Qila Saifullah civil hospital where doctors confirmed death of Mr Kibzai and his driver.
