Three injured in bank robbery

CHINIOT, Sept 1: Four robbers looted Rs200,000 in cash from a bank and injured a gunman and two customers here on Saturday.

Robbers entered Sargodha Road branch of the Habib Bank at 12noon and held the staff hostage. They collected Rs200,000 in cash from the cashier and were ready to flee when security guard Iqbal tried to stop them. On this, they opened fire on Iqbal, injuring him critically. The fire also injured customers Musleen and Younas. The robbers fled.
