KHAIRPUR: Body found

KHAIRPUR, Sept 1: Body of a 45-year-old man, whose hands and feet were tied and had marks of severe torture, was found in a cotton field in the Jalaluddin village of Faiz Ganj taluka on Saturday.

The villagers found the body, identified as Ali Khan Dharejo, and informed the relatives of the deceased and the police, who took the body into custody and later handed it over to relatives after autopsy.

The brother of the deceased told journalists that they had a running dispute over matrimony with their relatives and suspected they might be behind the murder.

No case was registered till the filing of this report.

WALK: A walk titled “education for all” jointly organised by Unicef, Indus Resource Centre (IRC) and National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) was held here on Saturday.

The walk leaders said that their campaign for getting fresh students enrolled in schools of the district.
