JACOBABAD, Aug 30: Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim believed his party would win the forthcoming elections by a thumping majority and urged people on Thursday to vote for PML-Q for the continuity of policies and developmental schemes.

Mr Arbab said at a public meeting in Thull of Jacobabad district that the gathering was a verdict by people that they were in his favour.

He said while referring to a local landlord, Mir Hassan Khan Khoso, that Mr Khoso had been with him for three years but forsake him after declined to make his native village, Deenpur, a taluka.

The chief minister announced the government would repair the Thull-Kandhkot road, which had been recently constructed but its quality was satisfactory.

Mir Manzoor Ali Khan Panhwar, Dr Sohrab Khan Sarki, District Nazim Begum Saeeda Soomro, Mir Saleem Jan Mazari, DIG Akhtar Gorchani and DPO Munir Khuhro were also present.
