VEHARI, Aug 25: An unmanned level crossing on Saturday became yet another death trap when three members of a family were killed by the Fareed Express near Chak 19/WB, about 10 kilometres from here.

Reports said the family, belonging to Chak 19/WB, was going to a village by a car (LEB-3912). As they tried to go pass the level crossing that had no official to stop the traffic, a Karachi-bound Fareed Express hit their car. Irfan and Farooq died on the spot while a woman, Farzand, breathed her last at the DHQ hospital.

The bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem.
