Eight killed in two road accidents

MANSEHRA, Aug 24: At least eight people were killed and 18 others were injured in two separate road accidents here on Friday.

Five people were killed and 12 others sustained injuries when a Rawalpindi-bound coach collided with a truck coming from opposite direction near the Doraha.

The dead and injured were shifted to the district headquarters hospital Mansehra and Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad.

One dead was identified as Mohammad Ismeal who was driver of the coach. The identity of others could not be ascertained.

In another accident, three people, including a woman, were killed and six people sustained injures when their jeep fell into a ravine near the Harnow area. The dead and injured were taken to a local hospital.

The dead were identified as Aurangzab, Yaseen, and Nazima Bibi.
