PML-N to devise policy on turncoats

Published August 23, 2007

LAHORE, Aug 22: The PML-N has formed a committee to prepare policy and procedure for accepting back turncoats, especially from the ruling PML.

The committee, headed by Raja Zafarul Haq, will meet in Islamabad in a couple of days, party officials say.

They claim that dozens of sitting MNAs and MPAs, including the ones from the PML’s forward bloc, are in contact with the party for joining it.

They assert a sitting MNA from Lahore, who has been leading the `mutiny’ against the Chaudhrys of Gujrat in the recent past, has approached the party leadership for joining the party through Hamza Shahbaz, the son of former Punjab chief minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
