NORTHAMPTON (England), Aug 21: Mohammad Aamer took four wickets as Pakistan U-19 defeated England U-19 by 36 runs in the third one-dayer to take a 2-0 lead in the series here on Monday.

The first match of the series had been abandoned due to rain.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first.

They scored 235 all out in 50 overs courtesy of Umar Amin and Usman Salahuddin, who added 123 for the third wicket to form the base of Pakistan’s innings before Rory Hamilton-Brown’s off-spin caused a dramatic late collapse.

Umar top scored with a fine 88 whereas Usman hit 63.

Pakistan then lost their way with the last eight wickets falling for 50 balls as Hamilton-Brown collected six wickets.

England deserved credit for keeping their heads when the innings appeared to be running away from them. However, once again the batting let them down and now, with two matches left, they are left with just a series draw to play for.

In reply, the home side managed to score 199. The varied Pakistan attack, led by Mohammad Aamer, who took four wickets for 30 runs in eight overs, proved too much for them.

Ahmed Iqbal helped Aamer, grabbing two wickets for 18 runs.

Hamilton-Brown shown with the bat as well, hitting the highest score, 33. He was run out as he tried to steal a quick single.
