KHAIRPUR, Aug 18: RPO Sukkur suspended five police officials, including SHO and WHC of Sobhodero police station, and directed them to report at the police lines Khairpur, here on Saturday evening.

The RPO has taken action against the police officials for arresting and torturing some 22 men of Khuhra, Solangi and Jamro communities, who were released on Friday evening after the orders of Sindh High Court bench Sukkur.

The suspended police officials included SHO Ghulam Hussain Samtio, head constable Karimdad Kolachi, WHC Sikandar Ali and constables Ali Gul Phul and Sabhar Ali Ujjan. The incharge police post Agra, Manzoor Hingoro has also been suspended over public complaints.
