Officers promoted

PESHAWAR, Aug 18: NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani on Saturday said all information officers and assistant directors of the directorate of information, working as grade-17 officers for over a decade, would be promoted to grade 18.

The chief minister made the announcement while addressing a ceremony at the directorate here. The event was attended by Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan, provincial Information Minister Asif Iqbal Daudzai, administrative secretaries and officers of the directorate, an official statement said.

The chief minister said it was a one-time promotion and further promotions should be made in accordance with the proposed service structure.

Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Attique praised the role of journalists and hoped that they would enable the government to implement their policies in a better way.
