TOBA TEK SINGH, Aug 17: A woman and her four-year-old daughter were knocked down and killed by a speeding car while her husband and minor son sustained serious injuries on Toba-Faisalabad Road near Janiwala railway station on Friday.
Reports said the family was waiting for a bus when the incident happened. Consequently, Sajida (27) and her daughter Khadija died on the spot while Amer and Subhan (3) received serious wounds. Sadar police rushed the injured to the local DHQ Hospital in critical condition. The driver managed to escape from the scene.
