PESHAWAR, Aug 17: A 17-year-old girl died and her mother received injuries following firing in the air during a wedding ceremony here on Friday. Police in Banat Killey, where the incident took place, said a girl, whose name could not be ascertained, died of a stray bullet after some people resorted to firing in the air. Her mother Zia Gulla received injuries.

Badabher police have registered a case. The Paharipura police, meanwhile, found body of the 50-year-old-man gunned down by unknown assailants in Qazi Killey Paharipura. Police have lodged a case.
