KARACHI, Aug 17: Four ships carrying containers and to load ethanol and cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where seven ships Conti Harmony, Hyundai Sprinter and Iran Sattari to unload and load containers, BBC Thailand to offload general cargo, Cruiser to load cement, Golden Top and Oriental Rose to offload chemicals were berthed.

Sailing was also active as half a dozen vessels departed including Oriental Jade, Thor Guardian, Harmony, Lucky Arrow, Y.M. Moon and Federal St. Laurent, while Johar, Iran Sattari, Conti Harmony and Oel Spirit are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 97,555 tons comprising 20,347 tons of export cargo and 77,208 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Ravi Trader to load ethanol, Kota Gunawan and Jade Trader with containers and Pacific Arrow to load cement.
