Plaza floor razed

LAHORE, Aug 16: A floor of a commercial plaza, constructed on an industrial plot in Gulberg, was demolished on Thursday in connection with the operation launched against illegal portions of high-rises on the directive of the Supreme Court.

Owners had raised a three-storey plaza with two basements on plot No 43-N in Gulberg industrial area. The contractor hired by the LDA completely demolished the third floor. “The plaza would entirely be razed to ground by Aug 22,” an LDA officer supervising the process said.

Work to completely pull down the illegal portion of the Masood Hospital near Kalma Chowk would be started on Aug 20, the officer said.
