LAKKI MARWAT: Nazim escapes blast

LAKKI MARWAT, Aug 14: An explosion on the main road near Tajazai here on Tuesday smashed windowpanes of two cars, officials said.

They said that the explosive device planted on the roadside went off half an hour before Lakki Marwat Nazim Humayun Saifullah and officials of the district government were to pass the spot to attend an Independence Day function in Ghaznikhel.

The officials said that two cars passing by the spot were slightly damaged in the blast, but nobody was hurt. The police have launched an investigation.
