KARACHI, Aug 13: Eight ships carrying containers, coal and steel are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where seven ships, Soon Fu, Calvin P. Titus, Kota Ganteng, Wan Hai-311 and Ocean Shreyas to unload and load containers, Adriatic Arrow to load cement and Lalazar to unload crude oil were berthed.

Over a dozen ships departed during the last two days, notably among them being Simitris, Ocean Friend, Soon Fu, Jitra Bhum, Bulk Arrow, Western Star, Al-Diyar, Golina, Aylmer and Kota Ganteng. While S. Kala, Lalazar, Tourloti, Corin Thailkos, Pac Antlia, Oel Shreyas, Mol Admiration and Makran are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.197m tons comprising 48,712 tons of export cargo and 0.148m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Chemstar Brave with chemicals, Bunga Delima, Cosco Lian Yun Gang, Satha Bhum, Conti Harmony, Oel Spirit, with containers, Heng Chang with coal and Song Shan with steel.

The following are due on Wednesday: Johar with crude oil, Chem Cosmos with 8,500 tons of palm oil, APL Sokhna and Hyundai Sprinter with containers.
