PESHAWAR, Aug 11: NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has approved the Rs1 billion Mufti Mehmood flyover to be built between the Central Prison and Charsadda road in the city.

The project was approved in a meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Saturday. The meeting was attended by Peshawar District Nazim Haji Ghulam Ali and officials of the provincial government.

The chief minister said the MMA government would continue the process of beautifying Peshawar through mega developmental projects so that its lost glory could be revived. He said the flyover project was one of such schemes in this regard.

He appreciated the district government for completing the construction of two phases of the Rehman Baba Square and said that it had reduced the traffic congestion.
