MIRAMSHAH, Aug 8: The government has transferred cash amount for salaries of its employees to Miramshah, North Waziristan Agency, by a helicopter due to insecurity on roads.

Official sources said that all government employees including paramilitary soldiers had not received salaries for the month of July till Tuesday because banks in Miramshah had no cash amount.

They said that authorities could not transfer cash money by roads due to mounting insecurity on roads in the troubled region. They said Rs20 million cash was transferred by air.

Roads often remain closed in the region since the deployment of the security forces at various check posts in the area. Authorities have directed government employees to avoid unnecessary movement by roads.
