KARACHI, Aug 6: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement made a town naib nazim and three union council nazims of Gulberg Town resign after receiving complaints of corruption and inefficiency against them.

A press release of the MQM-backed Haq Parast Group issued here on Monday says that Gulberg Town Naib Nazim Sohail Zaidi and three UC nazims of the town -– Tariq Ali (UC-4), Ashraf (UC-5) and Qadeer Pasha (UC-7) — were made to hand in resignations. They were relieved of their responsibilities with immediate effect.

The Haq Parast Group made it clear to all its representatives of the local bodies that it would not tolerate negligence and corruption.
