PESHAWAR, March 10: A woman and her son were killed by three people in Chamkani here on Saturday night.

Sources said Tariq, a resident of Matani, had married a woman of the area sometime ago. Later, he divorced the woman and went to the United States. His mother Naseem and brother Omar Arshad had recently come from the US to attend marriage of their relative Irfan at Al-Badr Town.

Both Naseem and Omar were at Irfan’s house when three close relatives of divorced woman, Niaz Ali, Murad Ali and Tariq entered the house and opened fire at Nasim and Irfan, injuring both of them critically. Both of them were taken to a local hospital but expired on the way. Chamkani police have registered a case and are investigating.

BODY FOUND: Daudzai police found decomposed body of a 22-year-old man wearing black shalwar kameez from a canal at Bakhshu Pul near here on Sunday.
