KARACHI, Aug 2: Jamshed Town Nazim Javed Ahmed on Thursday inspected ongoing uplift projects in Union Councils 6 and 7. He said it was the responsibility of nazims and councillors to maintain cleanliness in their areas, while removing garbage from trash bins was the responsibility of the town administration.

The town nazim said directives were issued to buy new machines worth Rs40 million, including dumpers, for the town.

Meanwhile, Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town Nazim Mohammad Wasay Jalil, along with MPA Fareeda Baloch, on Thursday inspected the recently completed CC flooring work at Shanti Nagar, Basheer Village and Mujahid Colony. The cost of the project was Rs1.3 million.

Mr Jalil announced the construction of a road at Rabia Arcade, Block 10-A, which would cost Rs10 million.

Structures razed

The Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) took action against schools established in residential areas in Gulberg Town and razed illegal structures in North Nazimabad Town.—PPI
