FAISALABAD, Aug 1: The City District Government of Faisalabad will organise ‘Agriculture product enhancement fairs’ to apprise farmers of the modern farm technology and research, City District Nazim Rana Zahid Touseef told a seminar organised by the Ayub Agriculture Research Institute (AARI) on Wednesday.

The nazim said all key agriculture-related institutes were working well in the district and trying to cater to contemporary needs. Agriculture scientists were introducing new species of crops to strengthen the national economy and farmers.

Touseef said the district government had chalked out a strategy to extend benefits of the agriculture research to farmers and added that the planned fairs were a step in this direction. He said that fairs would also be organised in Tandlianwala, Jhumra, Samundri and Jaranwala to increase sugarcane produce. AARI Director General Mohammad Rasheed also spoke on the occasion.
