ISLAMABAD, March 9: A delegation of French senators appreciated on Saturday Pakistan’s position on the international coalition against terrorism.

The visiting delegation of the commission for foreign affairs, defence and armed forces of the French Senate, expressed the views at a meeting with Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar.

The delegation’s members underlined the French desire to strengthen relations with Pakistan.

During the meeting and the working lunch hosted later in honour of the delegation, important matters relating to bilateral relations, Pakistan’s regional perspective and the government’s reform agenda were discussed.

The delegation is led by Senator Andre Dulait, vice-president of the commission. Other senators in the delegation are: Serge Vinvon, Jean-Pierre Plancade, Jacques Blanc, Daniele Bidard-Reydet and Andre Boyer.—APP
