QUETTA, July 28: President of the women’s wing of the Baloch Students Organisation on Saturday condemned the government for bringing treason charges against the organisation’s chief, stating that oppression, excesses and arrests could not force the Baloch people to abandon their struggle.

An FIR was filed against the BSO chief under treason section in the Civil Lines police station on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference at the press club here on Saturday, Karima Baloch said that on July 24, the Khuzdar police had arrested the organisation’s secretary-general Dr Zakir Baloch who had established a relief camp for flood victims.

Criticising the government, she said she would hold the government responsible if anything happened to the BSO chief.

She demanded that all arrested Baloch youths, including Dr Zakir Majid, should be freed immediately and security forces should stop harassing and raiding the residence of BSO activists.
