Soldier hurt in rocket attack

HANGU, July 27: A paramilitary soldier was injured and a house and a canteen in the Thall Scouts fort were damaged when the area came under rocket attacks on Friday morning, officials and witnesses said.

Police said that four rockets were fired at the fort, one of which hit a canteen inside the fort, injuring a soldier, Shahzada, and one landed outside the premises.

Another rocket fell near the Kurram bridge and one hit the house of Malik Riaz Khan, damaging its boundary wall.

No loss of life was reported.

Hangu DSP Khursheed Anwar said the rockets were fired at the fort from an unidentified location. He termed it a terrorist act.—Correspondent
