KARACHI, July 26: Zone-I Whites and Zone-VII Whites scored contrasting victories in the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-17 Cricket Championship on Wednesday.

At TMC Ground, Zone-I Whites routed Zone-II Blues by 10 wickets.

Left-arm spinners Syed Farooq captured (5-7) and Farhan Anwar (4-10) combined to bundle out Zone-II Blues for 76 in the 34th over.

Zone-I Whites romped to victory without losing any wicket in the 10th over with Mannan Aftab striking fours in his 40.

In the other match at KCCA Stadium, Zone-VII Whites defeated Zone-VI Whites by four wickets. Talha Shafi made a fine 59 with six boundaries as Zone-VII Whites accumulated 181 for one in their 50 overs.Zone-VII Whites, in reply, posted 182 for six in 47 overs. Syed Hasan cracked a match-winning 62 with seven hits to the boundary.

Zone-VII Whites beat Zone-VI Whites by four wickets.
