Flintoff comeback put on hold

Published July 26, 2007

LONDON, July 25: England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff's return to action after ankle surgery has been put on hold as rain wiped out his comeback match. Flintoff has been due to feature for Lancashire's Second XI in their three-day match against Derbyshire at Blackpool, but heavy rain forced the game to be called off without a ball being bowled on Wednesday.

He will now have to wait until Sunday's friendly between Lancashire and Sri Lanka ‘A’ at Liverpool before finally taking the field.—AFP
