Dollar steady

LONDON, July 25: The dollar firmed against the euro here on Wednesday on news that the median price for an existing home in the United States rose in June, the first annual gain for nearly a year.

The single European currency, which on Tuesday soared to a record $1.3852, was trading at $1.3708 after $1.3821 late Tuesday in New York.

The dollar was meanwhile at 1.2150 yen against 1.2026 on Tuesday.—AFP
