KARACHI, July 25: Three ships to load/offload containers, edible oil and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday. Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy fell to 40 per cent as four ships, Nedlloyd Europa, Golden Fareast, Al-Maqwa and Makran, were busy in loading and unloading containers, edible oil, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 53,596 tons comprising 49,652 tons of import and 3,944 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Corrina, Maersk Georgia and Oriental Miho left the port while Nedlloyd Europa and Golden Fareast were due to depart.
